I'm gonna believe, cause you never could make predictions We were something to see, yes we had our afflictions Everyone gets stuck inside, broke down beat then mystified for days And I never knew what to think or do Even though I turned away, I always came back to you I'm gonna forgive you, for doing all the things you did You were never untrue, I guess you just had to be a kid You're friends come knocking at you door, 3am and you hit the floor again And I never knew what to think or do Even though I turned away, I always came back to you....

Traveler 02:59
I am a traveler at the speed of light, I don't know where I'll be sleeping tonight But If you see me won't you please shine your light I'm just a boy The World is spinning and it's out of control, too many people with nowhere to go Just when you start to think that you're on a roll you get stranded I wish that we could go back in time We were young and we were feeling alright I could hold you and you could be mine for a while Too many cars, not enough gas Too many losers that try to get past Too many addicts living to fast and going nowhere She was a poet and a writer of songs Stuck in the middle of a world gone wrong Never going where she could belong but where she was chosen I wish that we could go back in time We were young and we were feeling alright I could hold her and she could be mine for a while Too many fools, not enough gold Too many people that do what their told Too many faces never get to grow old and I wonder I wish that we could go back in time We were young and we were feeling alright I could hold you and you could be mine for a while But the days turn to rain, and I just smile and refrain She just called me insane but I just wasn't listening Written by Leeroy Stagger Published by Campfire Propaganda (ASCAP) / Evan Phillips Music (ASCAP) / and Leeroy Stagger (Socan)

Stay 03:21
Threw my silver in a pile, thought about you all the while turning in your absentee, ballot before leaving me here to raise our daughter with the luck of random strangers who will smile from time to time as they pass me in the aisle ways of the super market down the road from this town to that town you go and go but you don't need to leave us though you're so damn good between the lines of comfort in the sand when I have you close at hand you run off with some other band of modern gypsies in a van who don't talk to each other with their headphones and computers just their biding sense of humor so that's why I have to say to you now Darlin' won't you stay, darlin' must you always go away When will you stay, stay.... If I had a nickel for each time that you plead guilty I would have a pile of silver that could dam up 50 rivers that you crossed in all the lower 48 states of mind anticipating ever driving further from your family who's ever waiting for your call or wondering if you or if some form of you is ever coming or if you'll just keep on running out the door to the next function I know that you love us but you love something above us and I don't know if it's smart to stick around waiting for someone who's always on their way to somewhere else can you hear me Darlin' won't you stay, darlin' must you always go away When will you stay, stay....

Lucillia 03:49
I'm done pretending that I can be someone who's ascending all the ladders of this world but I got someone that I can hold onto and it's you yeah it's you Guess I've grown up taking my sweet time maybe I've blown up all the states of my mind but you better believe me cause I got something that's true Lucillia you got a hold of my heart Lucillia don't keep it all inside Lucillia we should stay friends for just a little while longer till it goes somewhere I've got a feeling that I can't feel I've been wondering what's beyond that hill cause there's a freedom in losing myself in you Lucillia you got a hold of my heart Lucillia don't keep it all inside Lucillia we should stay friends for just a little while longer till it goes somewhere

My hear didn't break and it still keeps time I feel a little foolish but i will be fine It'll be a little while till these nerves unwind My lungs are burning from the hurt inside I could tell she meant business from the tears she cried I could say I felt better you could say I lied It's hard enough to live a life of crime It's a very thin line that were walking on A man needs love for his love is strong This road is winding this road is long She called me out in front of all our friends She said I give you one, you would take 10 You'll be gone for the night then be back again It's hard enough to live a life of crime It's twice the wait to leave the past behind Why live in a house when it is burning down Why live in the city when you love the town Why end a marriage in your wedding gown It's a long way down to Refinery Road The days are short the nights are cold But it's all we got, It's hard enough to live a life of crime It's twice the wait to leave the past behind

How could you be so much in tune that when you walk into the room everyone is looking at you as they realize they're not just in any room anymore How could you be so much in tune that when you point outside at the moon everybody acts just like they've never seen it before How you be so much how could you be so much in tune Oh how could you be so much how could you be so much in tune Melodicas and tambourines dresses out of history lifting up your elbows now because the sound and the rhythm haven't given you your wings You counted all the tones in they sky 440 times whispered in the softest voice made with the strongest choice How could you be so much how could you be so much in tune Oh how could you be so much how could you be so much in tune Your eyes catch the birth of the sun squeezing on your harmonium everybody's quiet now nobody remembers how to hate anything anymore How could you be so much how could you be so much in tune oh how could you be so much how could you be so much in tune How could you be so much in tune

I've been walkin' round this little town stopping everything that stares me done but i'm leaving The Highway is my home I've been thinkin' bout your lovely kid but it's the blacktop that I truly miss and i'm moving The highway is my home Well it's a thousand miles to anywhere I want to be It takes an open road a tank of gas for this boy to feel free So don't cry baby cause it's in my vein I need the freedom of the open lanes when i'm by you The highway is my home Trains boats and planes well they just won't suffice four or eight lanes sure would be nice cause I'm travelling The highway is my home I know you miss me but home just won't do I know my leaving is just leaving with you but it's calling The highway is my home it's a thousand miles to anywhere I want to be It takes an open road a tank of gas for this boy to feel free Flagstaff Fallstaff it's all the same to me I still love you baby but why can't you see I'm going The highway is my home I know it's dangerous but I'll take my chance I need the freedom over romance so I'm moving on The highway is my home Published by Campfire Propaganda (ASCAP) / Evan Phillips Music (ASCAP) / and Leeroy Stagger (Socan)

Begin 03:22
One more day till you're 23 They tried to tell you how your life was gonna be They don't know about you They don't know about you All the used books and the light cigarettes Gonna pack your things and move out west They won't know where to find you They won't know what to do Hey don't lose yourself in the end Hey just turn around and begin Buy some new clothes and go have some fun Sell your old clothes and stick out your thumb It's gonna be a good ride It's gonna be a good time Over the mountains across Tennessee Over the desert and Joshua Tree It's gonna be a good time It's gonna be a good life Hey don't lose yourself in the end Hey just turn around and begin Always loneliness at night Only hopefulness survives when you don't realize that everyone is thinking about you One more day till you're 23 They tried to tell you how your life was gonna be They don't know about you They don't know about you
10.
Sitting here late at night wondering where you might be Probably just drinking with your friends oh that was the life that nearly killed me Why shouldn't you but why couldn't you give me a call, call me right now I know there was a couple of nights when I did you the same I had you calling all around town cursing out my name I did you wrong and before too long i was all alone Baby come home baby come home right now I need you for the rest of my life Baby come home baby come home right now I need you I need you Sun's coming over the hill looks like a warning light I want to pick up and drive until I feel all right But I don't know where I would go and not still feel alone Baby come home baby come home right now I need you for the rest of my life Baby come home baby come home right now I need you I need you

about

In January, 2013 North American folk/indie band Easton Stagger Phillips returned to the studio to record their follow-up to 2009's One For The Ditch. Scheduled to drop in May 2014, the new album titled Resolution Road is a sprawling masterpiece of 10 classic sounding folk and rock songs. From the massive opening harmonies of Phillips' 'Always Came Back To You', through the road worn vocal delivery of Stagger's 'Life of Crime', to Easton's timeless and Beatle-esque album closer 'Baby Come Home,’ Resolution Road takes listeners on a journey with three veteran songwriters who have mined their individual styles to produce a collective soundscape.
